Marana combines a pleasant community with a bustling commercial epicenter. It is the main trade center and community focus for a vast rural area covering 500 miles. Marana has also been a transportation center for farming and ranching.

Agriculture happens to be a major force in Marana's economy, though a recent influx of residential and commericial development has occured due to the prime location, between Phoenix and Tucson. Marana offers a business friendly government and no property taxes. Many recreational activities await you within minutes of Marana. Picacho Peak State Park is the site of Arizona's only Civil War battle, the park offers camping, picnicing, and nature trails which are famous for there beautiful colored wildflowers.

The Santa Catalina Mountains are just twenty miles east. To the south is the Sanguaro National Monument, in the monument is the world famous Sonora Desert Museum. Other attractions are Kitt Peak, Pima Air Museum, and the San Xavier Mission.
