Fountain Hills is a family oriented community that was established in 1970. Before 1970 the area was part of one of the largest land and cattle areas in Arizona. It was purchased by Robert McCulloch and designed by Charles Wood Jr. (the designer of Disneyland). Fountain Hills is known for having the worlds tallest man made, continuously running fountain. Fountain Hills principal economic activities rely on small businesses, government, and manufacturing for the majority of their employment.
